Crossroads

Crossroads service is about giving time - improving the lives of Carers by giving them time to be themselves and have a break from their caring responsibilities. Our aim is to provide a reliable service, tailored to meet the individual needs of each Carer and the person they are caring for. We have schemes in most parts of England and Wales, which provide a range of services to meet local needs.

Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) is a British charity dedicated to the health and humanitarian needs of the Palestinian people.

Jewish Care is the largest health and social care charity for the Jewish community in the UK, caring directly for nearly 7,000 people every week!

Compassion in World Farming

CIWF seeks to achieve the global abolition of factory farming and the adoption of agricultural systems which meet the welfare needs of farm animals in the belief that this will also benefit humanity and the environment.

Action Aid

Action Aid are an international development agency whose aim is to fight poverty worldwide. Formed in 1972, for over 30 years they have been growing and expanding to where they are today, helping over 13 million of the world's poorest and most disadvantaged people in 42 countries worldwide.

Asylum Aid

" We are an independent , national charity assisting refugees in the UK. We help the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people seeking asylum in the UK by giving them free legal advice and representing them in their asylum application. We also combine our advice work and policy work with campaigning for the fair treatment of refugees in this country".

Actors Benevolent Fund

The role of the Actors' Benevolent Fund is to care for actors unable to work because of poor health, an accident or frail old age.

Generous support from members of the public and the acting profession itself means the Actors' Benevolent Fund has fulfilled this commitment to actors for over 120 years.

Sight Savers

Sight Savers is dedicated to combating blindness in developing countries, primarily in the Commonwealth, by working with partner organisations in poor and the least served communities to support ongoing activities that prevent and cure blindness, restore sight and provide services to blind people.

Dedicated to the protection and preservation of Africa's wilderness and its denizens, particularly endangered species such as elephants and black rhino

Practical Action

Practical Action is the new name for ITDG – the Intermediate Technology Development Group. The name may have changed, but the organisation and the values that we represent remain – practical answers to poverty, sustainable solutions and people focused. With our new name, we hope to be better able to reach out to a new generation of supporters, to help us continue to deliver and develop practical answers to poverty.

SWVG

Southampton and Winchester Visitors Group (SWVG) is a group of volunteers who befriend refugees and asylum seekers who are in need, hardship or distress. We offer practical and emotional support. A registered charity, we also raise funds so that we can provide temporary accommodation and subsistence to those destitute asylum seekers who are in greatest need.

Our sister organisation, Voice for Refugees works to challenge the myths and prejudices surrounding the issue of asylum, and campaigns for more humane asylum policies.

Dickens Museum

The Charles Dickens Museum in London is the world's most important collection of material relating to the great Victorian novelist and social commentator. The only surviving London home of Dickens (from 1837 until 1839) was opened as a Museum in 1925 and is still welcoming visitors from all over the world in an authentic and inspiring surrounding. On four floors, visitors can see paintings, rare editions, manuscripts, original furniture and many items relating to the life of one of the most popular and beloved personalities of the Victorian age.

Disabled Living Foundation is a national charity that provides free,  impartial advice and information on all types of daily living equipment for older and disabled people and their carers.

Sense

Sense is the leading national charity that supports and campaigns for children and adults who are deafblind. We provide expert advice and information as well as specialist services to deafblind people, their families, carers and the professionals who work with them. We also support people who have sensory impairments with additional disabilities.
