Formed in 1972, for over 30 years they have been growing and expanding to where they are today, helping over 13 million of the world's poorest and most disadvantaged people in 42 countries worldwide. |  | Asylum Aid " We are an independent , national charity assisting refugees in the UK. We help the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people seeking asylum in the UK by giving them free legal advice and representing them in their asylum application. With our new name, we hope to be better able to reach out to a new generation of supporters, to help us continue to deliver and develop practical answers to poverty. |  | SWVG Southampton and Winchester Visitors Group (SWVG) is a group of volunteers who befriend refugees and asylum seekers who are in need, hardship or distress. We offer practical and emotional support.
